The tech giant announced that it has begun rolling out the public preview version of Fitbit's personal health coach and it will be available over the next week. Google highlighted that the Fitbit Health Coach preview will start with a five to 10-minute conversation via text or the device's keyboard microphone. This allows the health coach app to understand a wearer's "motivations and goals". The company advises users to share as much information as they can for enhanced personalisation.
Fitbit's smartphone app has undergone several redesigns over the past two years, and now there's another big one coming in October, timed to the launch of the newly announced Pixel Watch 4. Launching as an opt-in review (an open beta), the design centers on Google's AI-powered Personal Health Coach, built with Gemini. The entire app has been rebuilt from the ground up with the new AI coaching feature.
