Metallica is partnering with the Red Cross to encourage blood donations during their U.S. 'M72' tour, offering exclusive T-shirts to donors at select locations.
"Learning that there is widespread food insecurity in Toronto reminds us just how many people are faced with making tough decisions and need assistance," said Renee Richardson, the foundation's director.
For hardcore fans, Metallica have also culled together a gargantuan box set that boasts 15 CDs, six LPs, and four DVDs - "a comprehensive time capsule of 1995-97 era Metallica" that retails for $275.
James Hetfield expressed a desire for Metallica to continue creating new music, stating, "We certainly don't wanna be a legacy band that just plays their greatest hits and then that's it." He emphasizes the importance of integrating new songs with their iconic catalog during live performances.
