The renovation of the Gardiner Museum's ground floor was guided by three core principles: Accessibility, Connectivity, and Indigeneity, aiming to create a welcoming environment.

The renovation project by Mawi Design reconsiders these in-between areas as integral components of the learning environment, reorganizing the campus around movement, interaction, and informal use.

"What they don't realize is that we built it from scratch," says Eva. "When people find out it's not actually an old finca, they're always amazed."

Crews have begun shedding layers of scaffolding that kept the Flatiron Building covered since before the COVID-19 pandemic, allowing New Yorkers and visitors to once again bask in its glory.

The former Assembleia da Granja occupies an entire block in the centre of Praia da Granja. Built in the late 19th century, it emerged from the summer life of the time and became a reference point in the social landscape of the place.

The renovation preserved the building's original Georgian details like gorgeous plasterwork ceilings, boiserie panels, stained glass accents, and light-filled windows, creating an elegant atmosphere.

Before, it was very dark. We created a system to make use of the low-ceilinged space under the roof. It allowed us to incorporate plenty of storage, as well as the apartment's service elements.

Mennorode is a phased renovation and masterplan for a former Mennonite community house, now operating as a hotel and conference centre in Elspeet, the Netherlands.

The curtain rises on a new chapter at the Todd Haimes Theatre as this transformative renovation supports greater accessibility to the arts for all, Hochul said.
