Barcelona play their first LaLiga home game of the season on Sunday against Valencia at the Estadi Johan Cruyff while refurbishment work to the Camp Nou is being completed. Barca are on seven points after failing to win for the first time in 2025/26 with a 1-1 draw at Rayo Vallecano on August 31. Victory would move Valencia level with their opponents after Carlos Corberan's side won for the first time with a 3-0 triumph at home to Getafe two days earlier.

The big team news for Brentford is the return of Vitaly Janelt to the squad. He's available for the first time since April after undergoing surgery on his heel. He's joined by new signing Reiss Nelson on the bench. According to Keith Andrews, the Arsenal loanee has slotted seamlessly into the group. For Chelsea, Cole Palmer returns to the squad after recovering from his groin injury. Palmer is on the bench with Chelsea's new signing Facundo Buonanotte starting in his place.
