I contacted Child Protective Services and made a report detailing her plan to 'frame' me as an unfit mother in an attempt to gain custody. My husband and I called my MIL to confront her about what we knew. She immediately went into denial, screaming, crying, and insisting she'd never do something like that, while heavily guilt-tripping my husband. By the end of her 'tantrum,' she managed to tug at his emotions, but I stayed firm.
