A 15-year-old driver too young to legally be driving lost control of a car in Brooklyn and struck an elderly man standing on the sidewalk Sunday morning, cops said. The teenager was driving a 2020 Honda Accord north on Pennsylvania Ave. in East New York when he jumped the curb and hit the 71-year-old victim standing next to a utility pole near Hegeman Aves, cops said.

The incident occurred shortly after 2am on the R582 at Gurteenroe, Macroom, Co. Cork, where a male pedestrian sustained serious injuries.

A pedestrian has been seriously injured following a road traffic collision in Dublin. Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of the incident on Railway Street, Balbriggan.
